Just A Liar

Just A Liar

July 1st

Swollen flesh gather in suits,

Crowdfunding nepotism.

Privileged thoughts of the mighty ant,

eloquently waxing ekphrastic allusions.

You are the insolent cat, I the mice.

(befitting no other nature, nurture)

Polychromatic pursuit of inner candor

Juxtaposed between sartorius muscles

I am a rat, a liar, a chef.

The soup of the day lies desecrated

Spilling down sacred steps

Dripping, drip, drop, drip-

Dip, down and suckle sweet nothings

Repeated adduction, addicting motion

Just another autosarcophagic soul,

Dancing in a ballroom adorned with silk

Spider-legged chandeliers play with light

Like a child chasing toys in the street,

unabashed infantile piety.

Hands tangled in rosebushes,

Heads fogged with incense smoke.
